selfsamewoman asked: I'm a Yorkshire lass, born & bred and just wanted to say: the trick behind an excellent Yorkshire pudding is the heat of the oil. If you don't add your batter to searing hot oil, you might as well throw it away. (Plus, I never see the sense in making one large pan full unless it's dotted through with sausages, so make it in a muffin tin)
